John Bannon's DUPLICITY
du· plic· i· ty:
contradictory doubleness of thought, speech, or action; especially: the belying of one's true intentions by deceptive words or action
A red-backed Ace from one packet changes places with a blue-backed Ace in another packet. Your spectator chooses which Aces transpose. In a series of surprising developments, the mentally-selected Aces appear face-up in each respective packet, then their backs prove to be different, then as a final climax, all of the other cards in each packet are blank.
Everything is examinable. Ordinary cards. Nothing added or taken away. No difficult moves.

David Regal says:
"I saw "Duplicity" performed a year or so ago, and it didn't take me long to form an opinion. “Twisted Sisters” is one of the best-selling packet tricks of all time, but I like this better.
I anticipate a good amount of debate as to which is superior. Even John Bannon wasn’t sure. When I said, “John, this is better!” he replied, “Really, you think?” It is so much better. Here there is no trade-off of effect, but at the end you are left clean, as opposed to filthy dirty.
In “Twisted Sisters” there’s a minor bit of audience management used to allow the trick to proceed. With “Duplicity” there’s a different minor bit of audience management used to allow the trick to proceed. Both are invisible to an audience (I would argue that, if anything, the newer version is more invisible…if there is such a thing), but in any event they cancel each other out when comparing the methods. With "Duplicity," the spectators can handle the cards at every stage of the proceedings (not possible with “Twisted Sisters”) and the impact is all one could wish for.
If you think otherwise, I’d argue that you’re thinking like a magician, and not in a good way."
